operations with local and national vendors.
Café
Med features El Pollo Loco, pronounced “L Po-yo Lo-co” and Spanish
for “The Crazy Chicken,” is the nation’s leading quick-service
restaurant chain specializing in marinated, flame-broiled chicken. Since
its beginning over 25 years ago, the secret to El Pollo Loco’s success
has been its signature flame-broiled chicken-- chicken that is
hand-marinated in special herbs, spices, and fruit juices and then
flame-broiled to perfection and hand-cut. It is served with warm
tortillas, freshly prepared salsas and your choice of side
accompaniments including pinto beans and Spanish rice. El Pollo Loco was
first introduced at the Medical Center in 1991 and has captured an
important segment of our customer base providing service to 250,000
customers each year.

insists on serving a great cup of coffee. Café Med is proud to bring
Starbucks to Café Med as well as participating in the Fair Trade
program available through Starbucks. Starbucks
Fair Trade coffee is a blend of mild and delicate Latin American
Coffees. Fair Trade certification increases farmers' incomes through
forming cooperatives and linking them directly to coffee importers.
Farmers are guaranteed a premium over the prevailing price being paid
for coffee on the international market.

gallons of coffee per year.

produce the refined taste of Sushi requires qualified professional Chefs.
Tomodachi Sushi is made with superior quality ingredients, experienced and
skilled sushi chefs. Freshness is one of the most critical elements Tomodachi
incorporates in its sushi products. All Tomodachi's products are made
with fresh products on a daily basis. Tomodachi offers a variety of sushi
that will satisfy your taste and eating needs, such as the famous
California Roll, Tuna Roll, Hand Rolls and Nigiri of your choice. Real
Crab and Scallop Rolls and more.

El
Numero Uno Pizza, which accounts for 5% of Café Med total sales,
bakes its products on premises seven days a week. Individual Pizzas are
sold in convenient carryout boxes with three choices of toppings:
cheese, pepperoni, and a vegetarian option. In addition Numero Uno has
introduced Three specialty pizzas and two submarine sandwiches.
Numero Uno uses only top quality
products, fresh when possible. Our dough is made according to a secret
recipe developed for us by the founder of Numero Uno. It has been copied
but never duplicated. Our meat sauce, marinara sauce, cheese, pepperoni,
Italian sausage and meatballs are all made to our specifications and in
accordance with the recipes developed by us.
